The Penitensya isn’t just something you see—it’s something you feel, deep in your bones. Men walk with bleeding backs under the punishing sun, but their eyes hold peace, not pain. The crowd is hushed, reverent. And somehow, in the rawness of it all, there’s beauty. There’s connection. There’s this overwhelming sense that you’re witnessing something real—something ancient and sacred. We came to document a tradition. We left with full hearts and trembling hands.
